Each quarter at Emily G. Johns, students get recognized for their academic and behavioral strengths.  Three students from each homeroom class are awarded with a different title.  There are Super Students, Super Citizens, and Most Improved Students.  Teachers are given specific criteria to help select their students.  The Super Student is a student who shows great academic success and
character.  This student tries their hardest and doesn’t give up.  They put 100% effort into anything they do.  They are a great role model for other students.  This is an all around great student.  The Super Citizen is a student that shows great character.  They always try to get involved and help out.  This is mostly based on character.  The Most Improved student is a student that has come a long way from the beginning.  Their academics and character are evaluated.  This student may be selected based on behavior improvements, academic improvement, and character improvement.  Students are awarded lunch with Mr. Baker and a certificate.  Second quarter lunches were held on Friday, January 8, 2010.
