Plano High School Athletic Hall of Fame

Nomination Application

The recently created Plano High School Athletic Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for the inaugural class into the Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame was organized as a way to maintain the rich heritage and tradition of the athletic programs at Plano High School. Many individuals have been influential in the Reaper tradition of excellence. The Hall of Fame seeks to honor the contributions and accomplishments of these individuals who are worthy of recognition and recognize them as examples for others to emulate.

Individuals may be nominated in any of the four categories:

• athlete,
• coach,
• administrator, and/or
• special merit.

Nominees must exemplify the highest standards of sportsmanship, ethical conduct and moral character. All candidates will be judged on their significant and long-tern contributions to athletics and their accomplishments after graduation.

Candidates may be nominated by any of the following:

• the Hall of Fame Committee,
• current faculty,
• administrators,
• staff of Plano High School,
• current Sports Booster, and
• by alumni.

All nominations should be submitted on the candidate form. Please contact Angela Way for a form by calling the school 630/552-3178 or by e-mail to away@plano88.org and she will be happy to e-mail, fax or have one for you to pick up.

The nomination form needs to be submitted to Principal William Johnson by dropping it off at the High School to Angela Way, by e-mail to wjohnson@plano88.org, or by fax to William Johnson at 630/552-8824. Deadline for form submission is December 4, 2009.

Plano High School Madrigal Dinner

The annual Madrigal Dinner will be held on Saturday, December 5th at 6 pm and Sunday, December 6th at 4:30 pm. Tickets are $20 per person and must be reserved by Monday, November 23rd. The production includes musical performances, a play, and a meal of roasted chicken, ham, green beans, potatoes, rolls, cake, and wassail.
