Plano Middle School is participating in Ozzie’s Reading Club, a reading incentive program sponsored by the Kane County Cougars Baseball Team! Your child will have the opportunity to improve their reading skills as they earn a free ticket to a Cougar’s game. They will also receive a t-shirt, hot dog, and a pop on the game day. All qualifying students will attend the game as a group on April 29th. If your child chooses not to participate or does not fulfill the requirements, please, remember that April 29th IS a school day and ALL students are required to attend school that day.

In order to qualify, each student must read 150 pages from a book every two weeks from January 11th through March 5th. Magazines and newspapers do not count for this particular project. Every two weeks a parent/guardian signature is required on the verification form that will be sent home with your child. Please, have them read throughout the eight weeks. While they certainly are encouraged to read more than the minimum, only 150 pages per two-week period will count in the tally. Thank you for your support throughout the year.
